What is an old link?

An old link in golf refers to a traditional links golf course — a coastal course built on sandy, undulating terrain with few trees and firm playing surfaces, originally developed in Scotland. These courses are known for their natural, windswept landscapes and challenging play.

Our story

A century of quiet golf, kept in good order.

The Old Links was laid out in 1897 across sandy heath the founders swore drained like nowhere else in the county. They were right. Through wars, droughts and three clubhouse fires, the turf endured, and so did the habit of playing it well and talking about it afterwards.

Today the club runs on the same unwritten code: play ready, rake your bunkers, and leave the place a shade better than you found it.

Our nature

Golf that grows with the land, not against it.

We work hard to preserve nature, using only bio-secure grass. No artificial fertilisers have ever touched our golf courses or old links. We try our best to co-exist with the wildlife that shares the ground with us.
